22/6/8-10 with scallop crudo, fresh homemade tagliolini al Portonat, frico, etc. side by side with the Gnemiz Sol, this was deeper, more spherical, and more complex. A pretty remarkable range of aromas - from classic Sauvignon scents to richer peach and nectarine, honey, mint, vanilla, cool stone, etc. The palate was very deep and richly satisfying while still being sprightly and drinkable, with tons of minerality that was somehow round rather than salty. This was one of the best young Sauvignon Blancs I’ve had, and I’d love to see it with some age. — 2 years ago
With Podere Pradarolo, it’s all extreme. Extremely long macerations for all the whites and Rose’s. Ex Alba sees 45 days on its Trebbiano skins then heads to the barrels. This is less than a fourth the time Vej sees on skins by the way.
I prefer Ex Alba. It’s less hops and more florals. Spiced citrus bitter peppery apple cider vinegar tea. — 3 years ago

Schioppettino. Rustic, earthy funkiness. Blackberries, citrus pith, white pepper, brambles. Apparently rare in the US, from Fermented Grapes. — 4 years ago
That one still wine of the day. — 6 years ago
Excellent value chianti. Light to medium body with bright red berry fruit and a touch of peppery spice. Juicy with a bit of earthiness. — 7 years ago
Fruity and light with a juicy finish and nice acidity. Paired with pasta - cut through the heaviness of butter sauce beautifully! — 8 years ago
Just a great wine. Beautiful minerality. Slight cherry notes. Will be my go to wine for Italian food on the light side like Pizza. — 9 years ago
A very nice supertuscan...round deep fruit from the Cabernet and beautiful tannins from the Sangiovese. — 10 years ago
