Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon? Howell Mountain fruit? Look no further. — 8 years ago
Nice color of dark burgundy with purple hue. Nose is seducing with plenty amount of dried strawberries and ripe banana or mango, crayon, wet dust. The nose keeps surfacing and doesn’t end. Taste is following the nose with some more flavors like subtle sweetness and zest, tobacco leaves, and really nice oak. Acidity, cooking spices like oregano, and tannins show up in the aftertaste, medium long. A very distinct Cab that is so different from traditional California Cab. She reminds me of high end Amarone. — 8 years ago
Can't beat the soft, delicate purity of Rita's Crown Vineyard. All with such a deeper power of red fruit depth. — 10 years ago
Nice blackberry, vanilla and soft tannins. Fruit flavors are present and nicely balanced. Paired well with the cast iron bavette. — 6 years ago
Great value and wonderful body . Some spice with dark berries. Will try to get more for just to have on a nice night on the deck — 8 years ago

Not characteristic of other Sonoma pinots I've had. Lush and fruity with nice acid. — 9 years ago
Nice and smooth right from the first glass. — 10 years ago
Just, just... just wonderful.
Initially, I get quince and a slight licorice that isn’t overpowering. Peach, of course.
The intangible here is just the well rounded character of the whole thing. It’s hard to nail down, but it’s got this savory, sweet, umami, bitter, acid quality to it that just brings a sip to the very edge of paradise as a flavor, a taste, an experience.
I’m glad I went for the gold here. I love drinking the canned sake and the 300 mL bottles when I’m going solo, so I upped the ante a bit and went for the mid-tier higher selection and it paid off. — 6 years ago
Luscious, big Cab from WA. The tannins are well-tamped down with food. Spicy finish. Very nice indeed. — 6 years ago
Excellent. Need to decant for 30 min for smooth finish — 8 years ago

Welcome to Easter weekend and lets start the weekend off right with a wonderful Bordeaux Blend from Andrew Will, the 2011 Champoux Vinyard continues to impress. This is a right bank blend of 54% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The nose is beautifully expressive with notes of blackberry, black cherry, black currants, tobacco, licorice, chocolate, herbal notes, spice, violets and fresh tilled soil.
On the palate there is well balanced notes of black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper that I love oh so much, chocolate, graphite shavings, and floral notes.
This is a full bodied wine with medium + acidity and firm outstanding gripping tannins. This wine does not disappoint.
Everyone have a great Easter weekend and please take thing easy, be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
