This is the 2013 Sluice Box El Dorado southern Rhone white varietal blend with 50% skin fermented. Beautiful copper-orange-gold color and slightly cloudy. Nose has sweet fruit, melon, a bit of citrus zest, and something floral in the way of a tropical garden after rain instead of perfumy roses. Palate shows a bit of exuberantly youthful grapiness, white stone fruit, white pepper, and freshness. This wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very pleasantly shows plenty of fine tannins. Really beautiful wine. — 12 years ago
Green apple, pear, buttered toast. On the palate, unripe apple, lemon and pepper. A little too much oak. — 11 years ago
Super cloudy. Some fun stuff going on here though. #bordeaux #moutonrothschild — 11 years ago
2012 surprisingly different from 2013 in acidity, color. Liked cloudy 2012 better — 11 years ago
Sweet and and rich as a good dessert wine should be! — 11 years ago
Fun fact - So this wine is from the winemaker of Cloudy Bay before it got taken over by LVMH. Another fun fact - it's one of the best whites I've had! — 13 years ago

A little sour, nuttiness. Low alch, and cloudy yellow color. Beautiful and rare grape for California. — 10 years ago
