I think this is a fantastic wine. Great earth flavors, but still tight. Needs a few years to be a rock star — 10 years ago

Celebrating the arrival of Madeleine with a NY Strip roast. A complex Bordeaux blend. A lot of life left, great nose of red berries, cedar, olive brine, and dill. Great mix of tart and ripe dark berries on the palette. This would go with a lot of beef dishes, especially roasts or steaks. — 8 years ago

Lasr bottle from Oregon...guess I'll have to go back! Pretty light and nice. — 9 years ago
2013 vintage - a delightful wine that I would hate to meet in a blind tasting - on first sniff & taste, it took me back to my first exposure to NZ Sav Blanc which back then had an exciting freshness after years of Oz Chardonnay. This wine is a blend of Phoenix, Madeleine Angevine and Huxelrebe (take that!). Interested that a review has mentioned Loire character, though from an Oz perspective, this is very New World but in the nicest possible way! — 10 years ago

Boat wine brought my Richard and Madeleine. — 10 years ago
Luscious oxidative character. Nose a Madeleine, brings me back to days of fresh fallen apples and gloaming light. Improbably fresh, lively for all the Fino sherry flavor. More please! — 10 years ago
