My second favorite Oregon PN from this vintage. I feel like the wine is pulling a Milton Berle. Only pulling out enough, fruit and earthiness to satisfy us. Will only get more complex as the years go by but will be extremely drinkable until maturity. — 9 years ago
Lemon meringue on slate. Zesty and a touch of tenderness ala Milton the Monster. A treat. — 10 years ago
Blue Mountain Cherry Cider from Milton- Freewater Oregon. These guys are THE best in the country. Washington apples are like Michigan cherries.....epic. And guess what? They are smart enough to buy Traverse City cherries for the Blend? Mind blowing combo. AND, they do it right. Fresh pressed. No force carbonation. No added sugars. No added caramel colors. Orchard to bottle. Literally. That's it! Unlike those other brads that buy frozen Chinese apple concentrate, dump some potassium sorbate, and fake bubbles and serve that shitty soda pop as " cider". Frankly that kind of faux" orchard" crap makes me " angry"! Get it?? Ya see what I did there?? :). Truth be told - Uncle Johns, Tandem, Crispin..... You all do a nice job. Blue Mountain........league of their own. — 10 years ago

Highly carbonated, complex, funk, and apple skin. Sweetness first with the effervescence, medium + body and sweet tart (candy) on the finish. — 9 years ago
Fresh and vibrant, skin contact makes this wine textural and a touch savoury - very drinkable. — 10 years ago

Tall Tales Syrah, its utterly unique "funk" from the deep, cobblestone soil of the Rocks at Milton-Freewater, shines so bright with savory food. Its earth and mineral qualities, contrasted beautifully by plum and currant, with a hint of black pepper, really give just the right oomph to make this wine the perfect partner for a meal (in my case, pesto soup, with a side of heavily herbed garlic-cauliflower) — 9 years ago
