Completely underrated vintage. Pleasant green notes initially, incredible depth of fruit. Mature but seems to have miles to go. Worth seeking out. — 7 years ago
We were worried this was gonna be cooked. But actually ended up being wonderful, tannins and acid mellowed out, still super balanced, slightly pyrazinic (tomato vine?), still has some leather and black currant. — 8 years ago

d'Yquem 99 from Mami
📝 What a perfect sexual climax to a stunning meal with fab folks 😍
Mami generously brought a 75cl bottle of this god nectar to wash down the cheeses 🧀 I died & went to heaven when I had this with blue Stilton cheese 😍
I think I had more than my fair share of this silky sweet seductive love juice 😎
Too busy enjoying for notes so check out others reviews 😜
Thank you Mami for sharing this superb treat 👍😘 — 9 years ago
Almost on its way out but not bad — 10 years ago
Great cedar and cassis nose with a matching palate. Persistent without being boring. Earthiness coming out after an hour to balance chocolate covered berries. — 10 years ago
One of the best CDP's out there — 11 years ago
This was poured through a Zazzol aerator and just spilled out Cassis, black olive, cigar box and vanilla/brown sugar from the glass. Should she well for another 8-10 years. Delicious! — 11 years ago
1984, surprisingly tanic, acidic, and Heavy dried fruit, prunes and dried figs. over oxidized tasting at first but interesting. From producer to cellar at breakers in palm beach. Small leak out the bottle on one side of the cork. Over time it settles and the dried fruit subsides and then the lighter acidic flavors of fresh berries comes forward. — 4 years ago
This is just a delicious brut rosé, really one of the best out there that isn’t four figures...beautiful fruit that melts on your tongue, just excellent — 7 years ago
Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!
Thanks @Will Adams for opening this! Gorgeous juice. A nod to how Caymus used to operate. Velvet like. Blue and blackberries, vanilla, cocoa, espresso. — 8 years ago
Good stuff, putting some flames out... — 11 years ago
Still mellowing out — 11 years ago
Absolutely magnificent! Of berries and chocolate, bright out of the bottle and velvety out of the decanter after a couple hours. Can't wait to enjoy this in 5-8 years! Cathy you're amazing! — 12 years ago
2003. Last bottle was 3 years ago, and this one I liked better. Starts out austere with evidence of a difficult hot year. But after hours in the decanter it cycled thru some almost port like caramelized tapenades and ended the evening with a somewhat strange but delicious red crème brûlée thing. So if you have one… I suggest patience thru the awkward opening hours to get to the awkward good part. Cheers. — 4 years ago
Drinking well now with a short decant but still young. Floral aromas that are very inviting. Cherry, strawberry, rose petals, and tar on the palate. Broke this out to enjoy since my 2 yr old son fed our 25 lb dog about 16oz of filet mignon and now I can say this paired well with McDonald's chicken nuggets and fries. — 9 years ago
From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 9 years ago
