Beautiful mature CA cab. The late Mary Novak must have been proud, as well she should have been.

Expressive and showy, inviting you to ripe blackberries and cassis fruit, delicate hiding behind loads of toasty oak. Personally, I think the élevage is covering the fruit but it's a matter of preferences. Doubtlessly this perfectly mature version is of superior quality, but I was happy just tasting it.

Underwhelming for one of my favorite producers. Tannins dominate. Fruit is reluctant right now. Maybe in a dumb phase?

Menthol/eucalyptus, cedar, aged cab notes. Warm fruit core—black currant, ripe berries. Medium tannin. Maturing with miles to go. Delicious.
