Absolutely a stunner. I preferred it slightly above room temp. Paired with a cornucopia of fresh oyster-Sex on the Bay, Blue Points and Beausoleil. 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir disgorged on Jun 2015. Nose of the Krug Grand Cuvée, the oak gives it a sassy side. Slightly creamy texture, lemon curd and honeysuckle fill the mouth. Finish is over 30 sec. A can’t miss Champagne! — 7 years ago
Dark red fruit nose. Super ripe black cherry, blackberry, then light spice, like white pepper, and a little bit of funk. Clean on the palette. Very drinkable. Had on jun 29 2016. — 9 years ago

Bought 2006 at Schneider’s in 2014. Opened 2 Jun 2018. Thin brownish light red. Plenty robust. Forest floor, leaves, berries, cherry. Not huge fruit. Tannin on first sip. Second glass even more rich — cerise, cassis — and lively. Structure of tannin, acid alcohol and fruit right in synch. Temperature of 55 is probably too cold. Dolcetto doesn’t get any better than this. Blackberry and spice - super concentrated - more than most Dolcettos. Drink this while you’re waiting for your Barolo to age. Vajra is a great producer - everything they make is good. 2017 vintage on Jun 18, 2019 — 6 years ago
