I throughly enjoyed this cider fermented with their own pomace plus la garagista's wine, my personal favorite winery in Vermont at the moment . I think it's a great cider that is not too sweet & has enough acid and tannins to pair it with a nice pork dish meal. — 6 years ago

In my surf publishing days, we did an issue of Bodyboarding Magazine with a main line for the cover story of "Chasing Perfect". I didn't much like the phrasing, in regards to a group of shredders traversing the Mentawai Islands, but our publisher was all about it and it worked out well in the end. One of the better chards I've had from John Hilliard's winery along Route 246 near Lompoc, this has improved considerably with a few years in bottle. Still a bit more oak than is my preference, the wine nevertheless exhibits great balance with classic chardonnary aromatics, a medium-plus bodied mouthfeel, and a lingering finish. I still think his Venus bottlings are better expressions of chardonnay, but this one at ~5 years is drinking well! — 9 years ago
