Gets better and better as it opens up. Very good. — 8 years ago
Last night was the Confrerie St. Etienne Spring dinner. It was my first time attending. This is a chapter of the original group out of Alsace, France, and is the only chapter here in the US...just happens to be in my neck of the woods! Great introduction to Alsace wines.
Kind of surprised at the reviews here for this wine. Maybe people rated the wrong one? This grand cru Riesling was paired with a Chilean sea bass and both were excellent. Not a lot of petrol on the nose, but it checked off most Riesling notes of honeycomb, pear and had that lovely sweet and quick finish on the palate. — 8 years ago
Really good, decently priced, California cab — 9 years ago
Tart cherries, green apple, pomegranate, and spice that overlays it all through the finish. Simple flavors but easy to drink. — 7 years ago
Dry and juicy with slight creamy finish — 8 years ago
Big, super rich style from a different chapter. Still delish - flamboyant and showy with cassis, charcoal, stewed meat, and roasted marrow bone. Glad I got to try, but think I'll go home and have a bottle of Wind Gap! — 9 years ago
Some sugary-lemon peel notes, supper bubbly, crisp, light with just enough body. Love love love. — 10 years ago

Ok. Not a Tuesday night wine. But since everyday is Saturday I opened this heavyweight. 2014 vintage. Brisk tannins and black fruit on entry. Closed in nose at present. Can't wait for it to open in my glass, like a flower. This is for steak ! — 7 years ago

This was the second wine with the first course Chilean sea bass. Though I enjoyed the grand cru Riesling overall, I thought this paired best with the course. That being said, that was not my first thought. This really changed after about 20-30mins. Initially muted, oily and a slightly buttery changed to really be floral and bright. — 8 years ago
No other champagne will do now that I have tasted the best. A new chapter in our life. A new bubbly. — 9 years ago
