Rebuy - This is sweet but has an earthy fruity flavor that we loved. — 5 years ago
A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 6 years ago
Deep, heady, dizzying nose of strawberry compote, cherry liquer, sandalwood, maybe some eucalyptus, and other exotic woods.
palate also brings damp earth, light rose , and a slight sanguine note. More muscular Than I would have expected out of a volnay. But at the same time precise and fresh with energizing acidity creating a nervy tension. Sensational
I should mention that it needed considerable time. Started off very floral and strawberry but somewhat one dimensional. Several hours later was a different wine

Some pretty serious Pouilly Fuisse. Needs some time. — 9 years ago
Ripe berries, blue- and strawberries with tannins to supply a lattice for the seductive flavours. Elegant acidity. — 10 years ago
2011. Light nose of raspberry & smoke. Good acid for food pairing. Beautiful for the price — 10 years ago
And on the 3rd day it showed the best — 11 years ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Smokey leather and raspberry, velvety smooth on the palate. A hint of oak in the nose. — 7 years ago
Big wine, very modern and a bit sticky but still classy pedigree — 8 years ago
Enticing bottle of mature white burgundy — 9 years ago

This is a silkier, more elegant vintage of the Chapelle, at least relative to the 2010, which was really in my zone, as well as the 2009, which I found over-the-top, but in both cases I think there was more stuffing there than here. This would've shown better if I'd opened it with white meat or even fish or something else where a lightweight presence and loose-knit structure is called for. It's an excellent wine in that idiom but lacks some of the solidity and grip it has offered in other years. It's not imbalanced at all, and the trademark stony mineral flavors are still here, it's just a slimmer version of its usual self. — 10 years ago
Earth, sweet strawberry, floral, leather, clove, acid keeps it fresh tasting, light in texture. I would drink up — 11 years ago

Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago
Shorter finish than I was expecting.
Cranberry notes, with some spice.
Really good. — 4 years ago

Pinot from France. Earthy, light and delicious. — 7 years ago
Unusually earthy for a Bordeaux — 9 years ago
Nice peppery kick without any jammy sweetness. Great deal for the quality. — 10 years ago
Great balance between white pepper and minerality. A little too light for bbq but great for 2+ glasses with a full moon out tonight. 2012 Ribiera Sacra - Pena do Lobo. Nevermind the thirsty monkey #riberasacra #redwine #red #spain — 11 years ago
Damn. Best in show, price wise. Not necessarily the wine everyone understands straight away, but to me it's pretty much ten on ten — 11 years ago

Very nice color and acidity - with pebbles, crisp apple and lemon water on the palette. Great starter for a meal. — a year ago
