Cherried Cigar box aromatics with a rich black fruit, dusty integrated tannins, black cherry up front with oak enveloping the fruit mid to back palate finishing with rich peppery notes and juicy acidity — 7 years ago

This was good. It wasn’t earth shattering like the way the cashier made it sound, but it was decent — 7 years ago
Second time having this vintage. Gained a lot of earthy and smoky tonalities. Acidity stayed sharp and fruit didn’t fade out. The finish is like you grilled cherries on a open fire and then ate a ginger snap cookie. Alba does this varietal right. Many want to slap an oak bomb on this and call it a day, but this is shown respect and dignity. Cheers! — 7 years ago

Uncanny resemblance to Piedmont royalty - the Barolo. Red cherry, tar, minerality, grippy tannin. And to learn that this wine hails from the soil, sun, water, and wind of rural Pennsylvania. Mind blown! — 9 years ago
