Mineral, sharp, a slight effervescence? Very nice with a mid-Autumn feast — 4 years ago
Spumanti, avec Simone and Ivanna à Milano Mittima. Delicious rich champagne. Balanced but slightly sharp — 5 years ago
Bit of cranberry and under-ripe strawberry on the nose. Hint of rocks in the rain. Flavors are juicy and crisp. Very southern Rhône styled. Minerality and red pepper. Blood orange. Acids and tannins come together for a harmonious balance. Not a classic mushroom and berry Syrah, but very nice drinking foothill red. — 6 years ago
Awesome! Dry and mineral. Lingering notes of iron. Really opened nicely over the 2 hours. We had it in the decanter. Unfortunately I was working in my office while Tammy sat next to the decanter...... so my rating is challenged with the fact I had very little to taste 😳 — 7 years ago
Nice proseco - not cloyingly sweet — 8 years ago
Had this on Easter with different fish dishes. Apricot notes on the palate, lingered well. I would suggest this to anyone. Fantastic refreshing flavors on a hot day 🍾 — 8 years ago
The most intriguing white I’ve had all year.
Kind of reminds me of Simone Palette but with way more going on. The nose is utterly intoxicating. It is rich and voluminous but the streak of minerality keep it fresh AF. Also kind of reminds me of Domino Aguila Blanco. Just outstanding. I want more!!!!!!! — a year ago
Incredible finish and tannin, not to oak, tastes Pinot noir like — 4 years ago
This is cuvée Simone with beautiful label design. Liked the juice as much as the label. — 6 years ago
Amazing young Italian wine. Rich, a little sweet, but full of depth and complexity. Licorice and Christmas cake. — 7 years ago
Juicy and bright with plenty of funk. Not at the most "extreme" end of the natural spectrum, but very cloudy with a touch of barnyard at first. — 8 years ago
A new guilty pleasure — 8 years ago
A Régnié which expresses itself on the side of black cherries, kirsch, or Plum Eau de vie. The nose is very expressive and counterbalances a very dry character in the mouth, almost salty. Aerial, accurate. To drink.
Note revised upwards, at D+1 because it held up admirably and even opened up to additional nuances. A sincere wine. Really well done.
— 2 years ago
For the price as well as taste. Very good. Open and let it breath for about 25-35 minutes. Well worth the wait. — 4 years ago
A beautiful Nebbiolo that’s starting to decline. Soft red fruits and fine, finessed tannin. Sweet cigar box and leather with soft black cherry and licorice. Drink now without decanting. — 6 years ago
Light but aerates well — 7 years ago
It's interesting. This is the second meritage blend I've had in the last little while. This was a blend of 79% cab sav, 12% cab franc, 6% petit Verdot and 4% merlot. I very much enjoyed the CF in here. Wonderful nose. Very perfumed. A lush mouthfeel with silky tannins. An extremely pleasant finish. I knew nothing of Ruston before this but I will have to seek them out in the future.
I must say that I thought I was all about "pure" wines. These last couple of wines have me thinking a lot more about Bordeaux. I don't even know where to start! — 8 years ago
