Unbelievably funky, acidic nose of Roquefort, feet, and rotting earth with a surprisingly fruity, slightly balsamic feeling over the tongue. Develops with endless complexity over hours in the glass. The cork I pulled came up stained and dirty, almost portending wine flaws, but this was a gorgeous bottle from start to finish for those who like Terroir and yeast-driven wines. — 10 years ago
Dark burgundy in color, medium to full body, smells of sardine, cranberry, cedar and roquefort cheese, high acidity with tastes of licorice, plum, clove, anise, pecan and fig, firm tannin and a long finish. — 10 years ago
With wonderful aromas of rose, gilly-flower, jasmine, spices, crystallized citrus fruit… with velvety bodies, they are sumptuous as an aperitif, with exotic food, smoked salmon or even with cheese, especially with French cheeses such as Munster or Roquefort. It will be your taste buds' delight. — 10 years ago
Really great, smooth red wine. — 12 years ago
Our 4th wine at our dinner party last night for desert of bread & butter pudding - served before the cheese like any English gentleman would so we could enjoy the port! However Corinna loves Roquefort so she kept some Sauternes back for her cheese😬👠 Thank you Chris & Andy for this excellent wine! — 9 years ago
2000, Chateau Haut-Roquefort, Cadillac Moelleux, Semillon Dessert. Wow! This was really good. It aged very well. Beautiful deep gold color with tons of dried fruit, caramel, molasses and dried almonds. A really good after dinner glass. — 11 years ago

Really interesting wine. V strong (14.5 per cent). Full bodied, earthy and very warming on the mouth. I had this with Roquefort cheese and it seemed to be able to go very well with it. — 11 years ago
