A lovely wine to drink with dinner that's not too sweet or too dry. It paired well with four different meals at our table. — 8 years ago
Sort of like chateauneuf du pape, nice rich body, excellent wine, cherry but some plum and herbs — 9 years ago
Full bodied wine, fruity at the start, dry at the end — 9 years ago
Really dig the juice. Love it's nuttiness. Definite fennel, lavender. A perfect example of a wine that speaks quietly, but has a lot to say. — 9 years ago
My first Jura wine. Glad I finally got around to trying one...
The nose is a bit like a Fino in character, with pronounced saline and mineral aromas, and there are also persimmon, apple, and lychee notes. On the palate, there is that Fino quality, but much more tart, green apple and citrus. High acid, but it is well-integrated and the wine has good overall balance. The finish is lingering with tart fruit and a chalky note. Really tasty and interesting. — 10 years ago

This was definitely the most expensive bottle I’ve bought at least in a while, and certainly for myself. Someone had bought most of the available stock, and I can see why. While unprepossessing flavorwise for the most part, it is noteworthy for being dark and strong without being too bright or heavy. It’s very nicely balanced, its fruit note an almost apple-like aged cherry that might come from the Old Fashioneds of any bartender in any hipster neighborhood.l worth its salt. — 8 years ago
Holy smokes this was outstanding. 100% Pinot Noir from Jura in this Vin de France. Herbal and savory but with this black cherry and menthol thing going on. Too much acidity could easily kill this but so well balanced. — 8 years ago
Räkor i grundsund. Gott, syrligt, tydlig smak av äpplen och "Languedoc". Riktigt gott vardagsvin — 9 years ago

Good chardonnay (with a hint of sauvignon blanc). Great, but $20 — 9 years ago
2004 Pont de Breaux savagnin jean-charles maire. Oh how I love that Jura funk and stink, no trace of fruit, all cheese and tons of acid — 10 years ago
My go to affordable Sauternes. Lovely, funky notes from the botrytis, languid, silky viscosity and a palate of honeycomb, dried apricots and orange blossom. A finish that lingers endlessly. Simply sublime with some funky cheese or foie gras — 11 years ago
Smooth lilacs and enough tannins to make me think of a Montrachet -parminder — 12 years ago

It seems like in the Jura there is always a new treasure to be found. Especially for acidity-seekers. Francois Rousette is making topped-up wines around Château-Chalon since 2007, but it is the first time I came across them. This one is a persistant beauty with a powerful mineral backbone and razorblade acids. Liquid fossils. Wow! — 10 years ago
Dry and tasty. — 10 years ago
Straw color. Red apples, cider, some peaches. Medium acidity. Slight nuttiness. — 11 years ago
