Fine, lingering lace on this blushing bride, with a train of elephants walking in space around the top. Dried starfruit and desiccated apricots, caramel apple and lemon merengue the an emphasis on the brown tips of the merengue. Also a sweet clay note rounding it out. Like mashed bananas in suspension. Piney note that effervesces in crystalline grains, turns smooth, round and absolutely impeccable! Orange peel, smoky chiffon, cedar plank, grilled banana leaf, lemon and pineapple mousse. The flavors integrate seamlessly; coconut and lemongrass following with resolute intent. — 10 years ago
I can see this being an IPA for people who don't like IPA. Very unlike the 60 minute in taste. Less astringent/piney. Must be the Syrah? — 11 years ago
Piney; distantly resinous; perfect. — 11 years ago
Piney and strong. Everything amaro should be. — 12 years ago
More vanilla, deeper, richer, and more brooding than the 2010. Peaches. Almost reminiscent of white chocolate, so much is its oak the dominant factor at this point. A bit of aromatic piney menthol on the finish. Astounding - a work of art. — 10 years ago
Still overpriced, but this scotch is still one of the richest sherry finished malts around that doesn't go overboard (as some might claim of the Aberlour Abunadh.) Thick and substantive in the mouth, it's giving with piney malt and rich red fruit from the sherry butts. Perfect neat - like all good whisky. — 10 years ago
2014. Interesting piney mastik note, palate cleansing, great acid. Would be terrific food wine. — 10 years ago
Bright and piney. A nice, if not mind blowing IPA — 11 years ago

Very piney!! — 12 years ago
Just glorious and modestly priced. Tastes like flat IPA, in a good way. Waxy, piney, tropical. — 10 years ago
Piney & juicy — 10 years ago
Piney, fruit forward and fuller bodied for the varietal. Would be great with grilled meat! — 10 years ago
Fresh and piney, great fruit. — 11 years ago
2012 vintage - tart blackberries, piney, herbaceous...this would be great with thin sliced flank steak with chimichurri sauce.... — 11 years ago
Sweet and piney, yet still quite expressive. I've always thought that if this amaro had more of an herbaceous undertone, it would be perfect. This was the closer for the night. — 11 years ago

Slightly piney. Lemony. Smells like unsmoked pot. — 12 years ago

2014 in 2016. Was much too piney for my liking when it was first released, but with a couple of years mellowed to a spicy butterscotch and clove — 10 years ago
