The flavors are electric dark plum, blood orange, and ruby red grapefruit with a long, lean finish that eventually tapers off with a tartness that refreshes the palate for more. Very impressive. Even blind this was not that hard to pin down as Ygrec. Even though it's a dry wine with tons of sauv blanc grapefruit character there is an almost muscat-like echo of sweetness without actually being sweet that screams Sauternes, and none of the other dry Sauternes have the power and footprint of Yquem which is evident even here.
