Damn nice Pomerol. Heavy black cherry nose and honestly there’s a lot of that same flavor on the front. Tannins were a bit high on day one but better day two, I get plum and pomegranate coming through, and thankfully there’s still some acidic soil to stave off the sugar rush. Alcohol burn seems balanced and I’m not gonna lie, I paired Night Two with some Sea Salt Organic Beet Chips by Rhythm. Worked well for me. — 4 years ago
Have been trying to find some good Côtes du Rhône options lately and did some research on this one and decided to give it a go. One of the better ones I have had. I’m not putting the bad ones on my profile because if I have nothing good to say I should just say nothing. This one doesn’t fit in that category. It needed some time to open up and release the full experience but once it did it was really flavourful and enjoyable. Next time I’ll drop it in the old decanter to get the full aroma and flavour notes out of it. It will be tried again. — 6 years ago

Really like this muscadet. Totally quaffable. All the acidity and minerality I want in an every day white. — 2 years ago

Crisp nice profile! — 9 months ago
Always such a singular wine. It has the weight and richness of a white Rhône, with the acid and mineral tension of a great white burg. I like to say “Chaveneau.” It’s stunningly aromatic with layered depth and complexity, wafting from the glass with ripe tropical fruit, hazelnut, wildflower honey and pastry cream. The palate is rich and intense, but retains focus and balance along with killer volume, an elegant texture and excellent length. I continue to prefer GDP blanc to the rouge. — 9 months ago
Just beautiful!!! Nice red fruit, forest floor, mushrooms. — 2 years ago
Smelled like fresh baked pizza out of the oven at first pour. Continued to give off plenty of funky and herbaceous character for a couple days. So much savory character here backed with bubbles. A unique thing yes — 4 years ago
Paired well with a robust French chicken, vegetable, risotto dish. Would buy again. Purchased at Wholefoods $19. — 5 years ago

Popped and poured; no formal notes. The 2020 “Grange le Duc” has some real Volnay sensibilities with lovely, elegant fruit and forest floor with a taut structure. This responded very well to air and I expect this will flesh out with some cellar time. Drinking well now with some patience and will continue to do so through 2030. — 6 months ago
