Gorgeous stanky nose of ripe black cherry, almost a lipstick like intensity. Almost cassis. Wonderful. Loads of earthy minerals and so much material. It smells dense and old viney. Sappy and dense with lovely purity and freshness and substantial but not imposing structure. Insane fruit in the palate that is vivid, energetic and startlingly pure. Long fruit set on the palate on the finish and a gorgeous dissipation. Awesome. — 6 years ago
Gripping, austere, reductive, mineral-laced and utterly cerebral. That describes the general appeal of this very well-crafted entry level bottling. But it remains expressive, aromatic, lifted and graceful. This vintage has proven to be one of the best gateways into serious and traditional Burgundy wines for many of my customers, earning it a couple of extra points from me. — 7 years ago
One of THE superb values in the US market for Hautes Côtes de Nuits. This is the Saint Martin Monopole which delivers serious gravitas and value. Lemon oil, golden apple, white flowers, honey and butterscotch delivered with very fine acidity and seamless texture. Mouthfeel is silky and superb. — 7 years ago

Picked this up a few months ago from the state store when I saw Louis Dressner. Seems different from the only other fleurie I’ve had. Lots of earth juice with raspberry. — 5 years ago

This is a very good & fun Cremant. Perfect for summer and only around 8 degrees alcohol. — 9 years ago
Tasted 2013 vintage in 2015. Ruby red color. Light bodied, medium plus acidity, medium - tannins. This wine shows its fruit characters and is well structured with medium tannins which will age easily for another ten years. Aromatics and a palate offering tart cherry, a hint of strawberry and notes of earth- based minerality. This wine has another decade of change ahead of it if you wish and could easily be enjoyed at present. — 10 years ago
