If a wine can be honest (& a farmers wine to boot), this is it. Even threw off a bit of sediment for such a youngin'. Much much better the 2nd day. Doesnt have the acidic snap that some of my fave Bourgueils do, but Im rootin for it — 7 years ago

Assertive, concentrated, graphite, cassis, black plum, steak herb. Didn't even air, had no such patience. Still, I dig this!

Deep purple color with a nose of raspberry compote, sage, and roasted meat leads into a fruit forward medium full body. The palate has both dark and blue fruits with some forest floor. Finish lasts 25 seconds. This is enjoyable now with some air. I think this will continue to integrate and improve with age. — 9 years ago
Although only 5% Semillon, that varietal has a strong impact here, giving a touch of sweetness and extra volume. With some air, this delicate aromas of dried herbs and spice. The inner mouth perfume really explides on the finish. — 9 years ago

When in Rome (as they say) 75% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot. This needs air or you'll think it uninspiring (was best the next day). Violets and slight French oak nose. Smooth, clean blue fruits with tannins up front fading at mid palate. Med/short finish. Solid wine. — 7 years ago

We bought almost a case of that from Costco on 2007. They don't sale this vintage anymore but I still have one bottle left. — 9 years ago

Prefer it freshly opened with limited air while it's still tight. Really good. — 8 years ago

A great red! Nose of berries. Easy drinking, but yet full bodied. Good balance of tannins. — 6 years ago
