Napa's answer to Cheval Blanc. Incredibly aromatic and the best domestic merlot/cab franc blend out there. Great job Lou! — 8 years ago

Wine of the night. The high percentage of cab franc actually works and produced a wine of amazing ripeness. Special wine. — 10 years ago

I have Soooo much love for 2012 Bordeaux! There is a lot of chiseled black fruit that dances on your tongue along with rich notes of licorice. A pop and pour for us this evening that of course gained complexity with air. No doubt contributions from the owners of Ch. Cheval Blanc and Biodynamic farming have benefited this property!
Goes beyond the labels of Merlot and Cabernet franc and results in a beautiful expression of 21st century Bordeaux! — 8 years ago

Dusty left bank aromatics. Strong at 15 years - a medium to full bodied palate still vibrant and alive. A word on Drinking Windows - A UK source I respect greatly said 2016-2018 for this wine but this tasting showed there was a lot of life left - maybe another 4 to 5 years I would say. To be fair it is an inexact science. This the Argentinian venture of Right Bank Icon, Chateau Cheval Blanc. 55% Malbec, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. There is no doubt you could mistake this as Bordeaux. An excellent Wine singing at 15 years. — 6 years ago
An evening of Lynch-Bages with Stephen Bolger. Included 04 Dom Rose and a 95 Heidsieck Millenaires, ‘16 LB Blanc and the. A beautiful cascade of wines including 1961, 1970, 1975, 1986, 1989, 1996, 2000 and 2005. I would say the 1989 was surprisingly closed and primary and everything after, while still having a beautiful perfume, needed much time. Everything showed beautifully and my personal favorite was actually the 1975 because it was such a tough-as-nails vintage and yet showed a beautiful delicacy. Splitting hairs to pick a favorite. One of my favorite estates just jumped even higher in my estimation! — 7 years ago
I've never tasted a wine that was so lemon-y. Very interesting! — 8 years ago
Very tasty, crisp, and cheap. My first Chenin blanc. — 9 years ago
Baking spices and bruised apple. Popcorn, notes of slight oxidation. Chenin Blanc, not Cab Franc — 10 years ago
In my mind a very elegant cab franc. More predictable but more fruit - almost gamy at times - but lots of herbs to pull it through. Put it in the cellar — 10 years ago
