Deep inky brick, slow dark legs, plums and chocolate, subtle tannins and beautiful mouthfeel, love a great Pomerol Merlot! — 4 months ago

Bought with dinner at Elkridge Furnace Inn 2/25 $50. Full body, firm tannins, spicy. — 4 months ago
2015 vintage. With 74% Merlot (and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Cabernet Franc), this is a world of difference compared to the 2022 ( 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) tasted alongside. We switch from red fruit in the fully mature 2015, to the more black fruit personality of the 2022. While the 2015 is an attractive wine in a lighter style, it is no match for the more powerful and profound 2022,reflecting the impressive progress made here year after year since the Lorenzetti family took over. — 6 months ago
2015 st emilion never fails. A bit thin but subtle tannins and lovely Rosy/flowery finish — 3 years ago
Pop and pour. Notes from 4 hrs open. On the nose: freshly cut honeysuckle, then loads of flowers, mint, soft honey and wet stone. On the palate: excellent acidity, wet stone, ginger, medicinal herbs, fantastic density. Better than my last btl...definitely one of my condrieu standards. Yum! — 4 years ago
Much better day 2. Red fruit, leather, fairly light bodied, dry and balanced but not too complex. — 5 years ago
Opened just prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. As far as I know, this was the first commercially released vintage of La Fleur de Boüard but others may be able to confirm or deny that. The 2000 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe dark fruits: back plums, cassis, pipe tobacco, Flintstones vitamins, purple flowers, dried green herbs organic earth and fine baking spices. “Yabba dabba doo!” On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Gosh, this is in a really lovely place right now; very well balanced! Thank Andy! Drink now through 2040. — 2 months ago
