One of my favorite finds of 2014....Beautiful bright fruit with wonderful tannic structure…amazing balance for a New World wine. Reportedly, a wine club only offering – this was just $22 at the home farm store in Middleburg. The 2013 vintage is now available but I have not tried it to compare — 11 years ago
Still more from my recent trip to Tokaji—the Szepsy Szamorodni Tokaji 2012 is honey-golden robed, it's a glinting treasure chest of apricot preserves, marmalade, mango puree, Tahitian vanilla, baking spice and that most compelling note of smoky, terroir-driven expression that is both indelible and unique. In the mouth, it's rich and round, showing noblesse and pedigree. It's vivid, pure and crystalline, a balance of apricot walled in with stony terrace and walnut skins. — 9 years ago

Dessert wine from the southwest of France. A little lighter than Sauternes. Quite nice. A little tropical fruit, banana and pineapple. Dulce de leche. — 12 years ago

A little bland & rustic, but has some great intensity, just lacking finesse & noblesse, hence a reason it's not 1855 rated? — 9 years ago
