Had the most structure of all the villages. Savory delicious. — 8 years ago
Medium ruby aromas of iodine, dried rose petals, & garrigue. Medium acidity with a fruit character that matches nose plus gamey quality. Very tasty. Character: Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans — 10 years ago

Light and delicious, pepper spice — 7 years ago

Very serious and ageable Juliénas with a beautiful purity of stewed cherry fruit, cigar box and sweet spice. Hauntingly good (especially considering its David's first vintage). One for the cellar and to look out for in future. — 8 years ago
Cherry and blackberry and maybe some sort of soil on the nose.
A bit dry, not sweet, gripping but moderate tannins.
Bitter cherry, grapefruit rind.
A light wine with a grippy finish highlighting the citrus rind. — 9 years ago
Sacred Thirst tasting. Out of magnum. Solid. Julienas isn't a cru I have had in recent memory. I enjoyed the nose and mouthfeel on this. A roast chicken pairing here. — 10 years ago
Earth and funk overshadow the fruit, but wonderfully made with nice notes of dark cherry and plum underneath all that earthy funk. Nice wine, but I prefer my Beaujolias from Fluerie, as it fronts the fruit more. — 10 years ago

Cru Beaujolais, the best red wine for food? This one is fresh and jammy, refreshing and lip-smackingly delicious. Drink with food, it goes with almost anything. Italian, French, tortillas... — 7 years ago
