Au Bon Climat legend Jim Clendenen knocks it out of the park with this supple, seductively textured Cabernet. Definitely some Pinot like elegance but delivers a smooth medium bodied finish. — 10 years ago

Oakville Ranch CF has become my go to CF. This stuff is awesome! — 9 years ago
Love the CF heavy blend. Dark fruits and lots of texture to the mid palate. — 9 years ago
Super bright and earthy CF that is so charming to drink. Great weight and density to the fruit. Juicy but not heavy handed. Pure and transparent earthy aromas/flavors. Love the fine and soft tannin profile. Lovely acid. Raspberry and black berry, wet tobacco leaves, violets, button mushrooms, potting soil. — 9 years ago
Interesting find on a layover. CF/CS/Merlot blend. — 11 years ago
2000 Cheval Blanc with a blend of almost 50:50 Merlot & Cabernet Franc, even though some reports say 53:47 dominate Merlot (not all CB are dominate CF). Tasted with 03, 05, 05 and I had this vintage a few years back, and I must say the tannins have come a long way- lush, almost melts into the wine. Explosion of blueberry and cassis with tarragon, smoked meats, and bark. Even though it is such a pleasure now I have a feeling it has a lot more to give. — 11 years ago
Pure and bright notes of black raspberries and cherry intertwined with distinctive earthiness and minerality. Mushroom, barnyard, crushed rocks, tobacco, peppercorn. Great example of how purity and tension can mitigate brett to create a more complex and interesting wine. Like all great CF this was a stunner with food. — 9 years ago
In Bordeaux? No, in Tuscany... beautiful CF. Still young. Wait!!! — 9 years ago
Bright fruits, rich in secondaries, white pepper, tobacco, cigar ash, smoke. Lovey acid profile and a joy to taste. 74% CS, 26% CF — 9 years ago
08' Jonata El Desafio has 84% CB 10% PV the rest CF & Merlot. All the fruit is from their estate.
At this stage no need to really decant it... 30 minutes wouldn't hurt it. Very much a fruit forward driven wine. Notes of ripened plum, tobacco, chocolate, leather are pronounced in the wine. Very few wineries this far south are producing high quality left/right bank wines. Drink them up in the next 4/6 years. — 10 years ago
Best Napa CF I've had in a while. — 12 years ago

Super solid pop n pour. Cab, Merlot, CF, PV. Nice balance and acidity. Minerality from nose to finish. Bright blue fruits and slate. Cinnamon tingle on the nose. Drinking perfectly now, but can hang out for awhile too. — 9 years ago
