Great label and really enjoyable Barbaresco made in a very classic style yet fun to drink now. — 9 years ago
Guy recommended this by Braida over the pio cesare. It was very good. — 9 years ago
Stellar Vino!! Best wine for the $$ — 10 years ago
Wow!
45 yr old California Cab that is simply sublime! Old school acidity 12%, to preserve the lovely mature fruit and forest floor notes. Started out at 49 degrees and let it get air to accelerate the development from reduction to full expression of lovely Claret style Cab glory!

Love this Chardonnay from Piemonte. You really can't go wrong with this region. Super buttery, oaky, & freaking delicious. #chardonnay #wine #winelover #whitewine #buttery #oaky #mouthfeel #piedmontwines #piemonte — 10 years ago

cesare. fresh fruit on the nose, ever so slightly fizzy, cranberry, high acids for rich foods, gentle midpalate tannins, cesare da casaletto 18E — 8 years ago
Great vintage for drinking now and midrange Barolo price. — 8 years ago
Refined Barolo! At 2008 I hope that's not an oxymoron! Dry and savoury but also silky. Preferred the Pio Cesare. — 10 years ago
Oh yum. Trust me, everything you want in a good quality wine is here. — 10 years ago
Medium red hue with perhaps a hint of orange. The nose is a very pleasant and inviting dark red fruit with tar, cedar, tobacco, spice, and a hint of eucalyptus. Red and cassis flavors, tar and spice flavored on the palate. Medium length finish at the most which ends with with moderate mouth coating tannins that dominate at the end. Slightly more oxidized on the second day. Paired nicely with braised beef short ribs in red wine; which also help subdue the tannins. Decent wine for the money but not as good as the (similarly aged) 2000 Pio Cesare Oranato. — 10 years ago
Nice easy to drink

Pretty mellow Syrah. A bit creamy in taste as well. Seems to get better by the glass :) — 12 years ago
Fascinating side by side with the Pio Cesare ornato 2000. This had an unusual amount of sweet cherry fruit and was a new world bright contrast to the pio cesare. I really enjoyed this. The ornato is supposed to be more new world but it was very old world to me in contrast to the la spinetta barbaresco. — 8 years ago
A perfect follow up to Pio Cesare. It really makes sense tasting them side by side to feel the difference of masculine Barolo and feminine Barbaresco. Luscious black plums, white pepper and roses... — 9 years ago
The nose of apples and peaches continues to the palette. This Chardonnay is clean, crisp and balance and paired great with our meal. — 9 years ago
Cherries. Light bodied. Smooth finish. Nice recommendation. — 10 years ago
1964. Still had another 10+ to go — 10 years ago

Nariz: cereza, rosas, regaliz, cuero. La nariz amarrada todavía.
Boca: Seco, Tanino M+ algo astringente, Acidez M, Alcohol M+.
Debe airearse. El vino debe guardarse por lo menos 5 años. Tiene buen potencial pero le hace falta evolucion.
