Really looking forward to seeing how this CDP opens up. On the nose plenty of funk, yes, but as it blows off there are hints of black soil, mushrooms, dust, red fruit, and a slight floral aroma with potpourri and cedar that is beginning to rear its head. On the palate it's quite tight, but as time passes away so will the astringency. Rating will definitely increase as time goes on. EDIT- Day 2 and this wine is on point! Upgraded from 8.7 to 9.0. — 8 years ago

Another beautiful liquid fills my glass. Tart cherries, cherry pie and a little almond extract on the nose. Nicely fruit forward with tastes of raspberries and blueberries, white pepper and spices. A nicely structured wine with an interesting finish that shows a little oak as well as pepper. An interestingly light CDP in my opinion. — 8 years ago
