Lurid magenta. Expansive aromas of mineral-tinged red berries, incense and cola, joined by a suave floral nuance as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry, spicecake and candied licorice flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well 🤫🤷🏻‍♂️

This is quite a complex wine. Give it some time to breathe and it will reward you for that. Doesn't need any more time to age, if anything drink it soon. I didn't have another to compare it to, but it may be just past it's prime. Primary flavours: Tobacco, stewed plum, dried sour cherry. Secondaries: leather, smoke, white pepper, vanilla. Tertiaries: green capsicum, spearmint. Full body, long finish, very intense, very complex, many levels of expression.
