Alban is name of first child. what a nose, gamey, stoney, granite, loess, amazing nose. so so sick. red fruits. raspberry coulis. olives, leather, some funk, some barnyard, some horse. wow this nose. wow, so silky, so elegant, big and refined, but juicy and so so elegant. Amazing purity. So open and wide. Coulis. red fruit, so fine, so much velvety tannins, sleek and refined. polished classicism. precise dense deep and lots of material. Drinking so well now. — 10 months ago

Very dry with a strong finish. We had it with a medium rare leg of lamb and it paired perfectly. Ours was a 2019 vintage. Took a few minutes to open. Will enjoy again in the near future. — 2 years ago
Earthy, light tannin, rich berry, leather — 3 years ago
Lime, peach, cantaloupe, wet rock on the nose. Grapefruit, lime, honeycomb, peach, minerals with medium+ acidity on the palate. Good example of the rich, ripe fruit as well as acidity and freshness this varietal can offer. Great value and super drinkable. — 4 years ago
Like this! Floral, nice acidity, herbal notes, cranberry — 5 years ago
Serious bang for the buck. 60% Aligoté, 30% PN, 10% Chard cremant from Burgundy rocks it. I’ve just discovered my favorite use of Aligoté. — 6 years ago

Earthy, terroir nose. Opened nicely. Palette- enjoyable , long finish, medium tannins . After one hour, improved, earthiness is a nice change from Napa cabs. — 2 years ago

Winery Notes:
"The 1990 Vintage is a blend of 17 different Crus, all classified as Grands and Premiers Crus.
Black grapes make up two thirds of the blend: 56% Pinot Noir, from the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne, and 11% Meunier, from the Premiers Crus in the west of the Montagne de Reims.
The blend is completed with 33% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and, to a lesser extent, from the Montagne de Reims." — 3 years ago
Superb crisp, grapefruit,, peach, mineralogy — 6 years ago
Tuoksussa pursuaa petroli ja eksoottiset hedelmät. Suutuntuma on leveä ja hedelmäisen makea. Happorakenne on tyylikäs ja maltillinen kantaen makua pitkään. — 7 years ago

I’m not sure where my previous note went.
Just when you thought you knew Italy, up pops this might as well be SwissFrench alpine darling from the Vallée D’Aoste.
Blanc de Morgex et de la salle. The town/village of Morgex lies just below Mt. Blanc. The Prié Blanc vines thrive in soil that has not known phylloxera.
Stones, herbs, and lemons all wrapped up in a rather electric pkg. I think drink young. Cold, the nose doesn’t have much to say past stone fruit, maybe rainier cherries.,But the palate is pow! Lemons, herbs, mineral, high acid and refreshing. With fried Branzino, perfect!
Always a sucker for high altitude Italian.
