Softer, baby Barolo. 90% Nebbiolo. Raspberries, dried cherries, flowers. Nice balance. — 9 years ago

Oddero

Vigna Rionda Barolo Nebbiolo 1998

Classic traditional Vigna Rionda (according to Dario and Alessandro at Roscioli) with obvious but integrated herbal notes. Excellent overall balance and good length. The first of 6 awesome Barolos! — 10 years ago

Colli Orientali del Friuli Pignolo

An odd, engaging wheaty, bready, yeasty character, with chewy plums, and proper tannins. I love obscure Italian varietals. — 11 years ago

Oaky but fruity, lots of different flavours coming through, quite chewy but delicious.

Fuqua

Cavalier Tawny Aged 7 1/2 Years Vat #13

Thank you Bill Steele for this gift. I am not an expert when it comes to Port. But this Texas Tawny was the perfect ending to a pizza/wine evening. It started a bit raisiny, but opened into a caramel syrup that lingered for minutes. Would be shocked if Delectable has this in their database. Only way to get it is by knowing Mr. Fuqua (a Dallas garage wine creator). Cheers! — 12 years ago

Vin Rouge du Lac d'Argent 2014

Such a good red blend - dry tangy and fruity but with a smooth finish. This is my favorite red. — 10 years ago

Domaine de la Mordorée

La Dame Rousse Lirac Red Rhone Blend 2012

Painfully young but stellar with dario lamb chops — 10 years ago

Cavalier Bartolomeo

Solanotto Altenasso Barolo Nebbiolo 2001

Modern in style but quite enjoyable. Oak is noticeable but not intrusive. Lots of fruit still present with slight sweetness on the midpalate and lively tannins on a bone dry finish. Decanted for two hours as tannins are still fairly aggressive otherwise. It is advisable. — 10 years ago
