Light mineral sharp acid... tastes like a Sancerre 🥴🤭 — 7 years ago

Vintage 2016 / frivolous and expressive. This is #loirewine I adore! Beautiful sweet cherries in smell. High acidity. #cabernetfranc #bourgueil — 8 years ago
Crazy mineral with oyster shell, lemon curd and pineapple. Screaming for shellfish. Deserves a higher rating. — 10 years ago

This was really good. Reminded me of Catherine & Pierre Breton. Great smooth silkiness, and taste of green pepper and some stone. Lighter body and some tannin. Great cab franc! — 9 years ago

Very nice wine. Tasting very good just after opening, hopefully will open up more as the evening goes. — 10 years ago

Rose’s can be hard to pinpoint but Petite Mairie’s is unmistakenly Loire Cab Franc and that’s precisely what I love about this wine. If you like the stripped down vastly undervalued Loire red wines from greats like Guibertau, Baudry, Thierry Germain, Catherine and Pierre Breton, and so on, you’ll similarly appreciate this wine.
It has that pure herbal vegetal frame - artichoke, asparagus, and sage surrounding wet gravel and light berries. The flavors include fresh tilled soil , green bell pepper, and roasted red pepper. Really terrific from the Rosenthal portfolio. — 8 years ago
This is stunning. What poise and length. The length is ridiculous. Wild, feral, stony nose, gravy, darkness, woodland berries, elf-like creature's tiny droppings and so much more. Not for everyone but it is definitely for me. Palate is refined and powerful with serious structure and density and very vivid fruit. A big boy but so juicy. What length. Genius wine that has 20+ years in the tank. — 9 years ago
Everything fun about cab franc is in this bottle. — 10 years ago
Medium bodied refined Chinon, only slightly green and accompanied by a whole cabinet of baking spices and some fresh berries and a mineral finish. Lithe and light for cab franc. Still a little tight on the palate, probably best to wait 5 years but showing well enough now, especially the beautiful aromatics. This is not lush cab franc but rather great to accompany more delicate dishes. — 10 years ago
