The Crossings

A very tasty red from one of our favorite wineries here in Idaho. Crossings Winery in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Formerly Carmela Vineyards. — 8 years ago

Bodega Mustiguillo

Bodega Mustiguillo Quincha Corral 2012

Had this in Valencia at Casa Carmela. Perfect pairing with an intense seafood paella. First experience with the bobal grape which is local to this region of Spain. . Very unique. Really delicious. Hope I can find it when I get back home. — 9 years ago

Yecla Monastrell 2015

Very smooth. Great introduction to this varietal. Makes me want to explore Monastrell. — 5 years ago

Carmela Vineyards

Adelita Winarita Chardonnay

This is a rather unique white wine. The best way to serve it is over ice & with a twist of lime as if it were a Margarita. Tastes JUST LIKE a Margarita. You can even rim your glass with salt or sugar too if you like. The wife just fell in love with this one. And it is grown & produced in our home state of Idaho. — 8 years ago

Vini Conestabile della Staffa

Bianco Conestabile Umbria Bianco 2017

One of my favorite orange wines. Really great. Round 2 was veal after Fia's birth with Carmela and Santosh. — 4 years ago

Carmela

Old Vine Sweet Red Blend

This is a sweeter desert wine for sure. It was served to us at the winery a bit warm as it was "Brewed" with a Wine Mulling Spices bag on low heat for an hour which gave it a very yummy spicy flavor. Would be excellent on our cold and snowy nights in Idaho. — 8 years ago

Pietradolce

Vigna Barbagalli Etna Rosso DOC Nerello Mascalese 2011

Told by the sommelier at Donna Carmela that this wine just won Best Italian Red from Gambero Rosso a matter of days ago. Small production, pre-phylloxera Nerello Mascalese vines over 100 years old. Etna wine at it's best. Silky smooth chocolate, cherries, violets. So much kick ass here. — 9 years ago
