Jackpot!!! Clear deep deep matured garnet with thin watery rim. Pronounced concentrated fruit aroma of black cherry, blackcurrant, plum, mixed with dark chocolate and hint of mushroom. Dry on the palate yet you get a sweet sensation of fruitcake. Medium acidity and velvety almost chewy medium+ tannin and high alcohol adds to the complexity and long length of this wine. Vahva, mausteinen, jopa piparkakkuun vivahtava maku. Mukana nahkaa ja aavistus savua. Tanniinit ovat hedelmäiset ja puristavat suuta mukavasti. Viinistä jää suuhun erittäin lämmin tunnelma. — 10 years ago

1990 Guiraud as part of a four Sauternes horizontal tasting. Drank end of December 2014. Took a while to open up, definitely better the second day. Very complex palate. Paired amazingly well with Carles Roquefort and pain d'épices. Highly recommended. Probably the best value/quality of the four. — 10 years ago
