The Coppermine Road McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Cedar, malt milo, raspberry, yoyo biscuit and fresh Blackcurrant have been the aromas showing tonight. I do know this wine can show beautiful leather, stalky notes and earthy aromas but it simply did not last long enough. Precise fruit, tannin targets the front palate but acid plays a backing role. Great wine. — 9 years ago

2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago

Shingleback

Red Knot McLaren Vale Shiraz 2012

The garnet/purple '12 Shingleback Shiraz 'Red Knot' offers a rich nose of black cherry, plum and earth aromas with secondary hints of spice, tar, licorice and dark cocoa. The medium-bodied mouth is lively with huge jammy blackberry and anise flavors, with subtle oak and smooth tannins. Vibrant long finish. A lot of wine for the money! — 12 years ago

Velvet Glove McLaren Vale Shiraz 2014

Huge. Hedonism. Fruit bomb but opened it 4 hours ago and it helped soften the blow a bit. Spice and sweet licorice. — 6 years ago

This wine is great. Living in Aus, it's been good to see some Brash Higgins wines on both East and West coasts

Savitar McLaren Vale Shiraz 2004

Crushed black cherries, bramble, cassis, vanilla scented pastry, creamy oak. On the palate a terrific acidic spine prevents this monster from toppling over. This is a modern, yet delicious Aussie Shiraz! — 10 years ago

Excellent typical example of good Aussie Grenache. First impression is 'red Clare Riesling'. Clean with ripe red fruit (strawberry fruit roll-out). White pepper with a little heart. Best with a little chill. #blindtasting #australianwinetasting #yangarra #Grenache — 7 years ago
