Somehow being in the shadow of of the Cathedral of Santa Maria makes this taste even better. Loving Florence, loving Tuscany. Italy twice in a year, not sure if that will happen again in this lifetime! — 8 years ago

Nebbiolo d'Alba 2010

The type of wine you impulse buy after telling the Uber Black Car driver to stop by the liquor store. Articulate soft blackberryness, medium acidity, medium plus to moderate tannins, Fruity, lightly earthy Old World Nebbiolo that screams "Enjoy me!" Best paired with divorce papers and sadness. Excellent producer, cork was smooth and distinct. Will enjoy again. — 10 years ago

Old world red with hints of limestone and mucus. This Nebbiolo is best enjoyed in an asbestos ridden den with clap on/clap off lighting. Blackberry varnish and alcoholic surface combine for a tannic finish making this wine a delight for contemplating Americas greatness. Producer is bald. Cork is made of silicon. Bottler had a plastic fetish.
