I held onto this wine until almost 2021, and was so excited to do so. Was able to share it with my brother, with whom I bought it back then. I had written on the tag “ doable nov 2017wait 6 months super bright and acidic” classic forest floor cranberry strawberry, potpourri, and great Santa Cruz acidity. Love love love this. I feel like I've been transported to Sante Fe. Clay pottery, windswept earth, grilled poblano pepper, and black cherry. Balance, depth, and complexity seem to come with such ease, and nothing is forced, which is especially noteworthy considering the vintage.
