Fantastic. A southeast brunello. Immediately dark cherry, touches of plums, spice, and the acidity and tannins integrated well. As it decanted, the tannins soften drastically with the acidity slightly overpowering, but nevertheless, the fruit stayed and lingered til the end. — 3 months ago
First bottle of a half case we bought at the domaine in 2021. Definitely will be better in a few years but nice to try one on the earlier side. What they say is true - this is really easily Brunello level. At this point the nose isn’t giving a ton, but there is great depth of fruit and earth on the palate. This hits in several more parts of the mouth than most wines and the finish goes on for quite a while. Medium plus tannins and acid which should balance out a bit with some more age.
Opened the bottle 5 hours prior to service and then decanted for 2. Real candidate to be 9.5+ in a few years. — 3 months ago
We had the 2010 Vintage on 5/26-27/25. An excellent Brunello with tastes and scents of red cherry, leather, herbs and spice. Tannins all smoothed out. Medium bodied, Old World and well balanced. This got better with time. — 6 months ago
This was singing last night. Nice nose of mature cherries and spice box. Mid palate displays density and weight. Packed with ripe cherries and a hint of tobacco, complemented with a moderate tannin structure. Oak treatment was in the background. Finished with length and a hint of soft brown sugar. Acidity is still prominent so I assume you could continue to hold this for another 7 years with ease. — 9 months ago
Still drinking, wonderfully after 12 years. A fine example of this variety from Italy. — 2 years ago
Very good wine.

Deep garnet with a tawny rim. A savoury earthy mushroom note coming through - also balsamic notes. Fading red cherry on the palate. An excellent Brunello from a good vintage, travelling well at 15 years. A fabulous food wine with homemade fettuccine. I will probably drink my last bottle in 2027/28 although I have a drinking window through to the early 2030s. — 2 months ago
Fabulous red, great body and berry notes — 4 months ago
Sleek and smoothly textured, it displays an engaging, deep garnet appearance, with subtle aromatics and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruit and nuts, and balsamic nuances. It has good structure and is well balanced with light acidity and gentle tannins at the long, mouth coating, tasty finish. Overall, an excellent wine from an excellent vintage. 2012 vintage.

Beautiful wine. Drinking in the sweet spot. — 6 months ago
Fully mature. Fine, integrated tannins. Beautiful pure fruit profile with some acid, and tannin to give structure. Lots of tertiary - leather, forest floor, earth, umami, tobacco. Grip. Long. Right in the sweet spot. — 10 months ago
Also at BPI. This seemed hot. A good party wine for people who like big dry red. Served from magnum. — 10 years ago
We had the 2007 on 9/14-15/25. A terrific aged Brunello. This had all the expected scents and tastes of a great Brunello. Black cherry, raspberry, leather, lavender and rose petals. Medium bodied and Old World. Tannins all smoothed out. — 3 months ago
Full. Classic style but with more weight. I think this is better day 2 or 3 and hold if you have for another 5 years to revisit. — 3 months ago
Full-bodied, earthy, with a lovely bouquet. Plums and fresh red cherries with a hint of chocolate. — 4 months ago
Medium ruby , slightly wider ruby, garnet rim . Slightly more closed and serious ,spiced cherries , menthol , liquorice and dried rosemary and thyme . On the palate this shows good red fruits , with raspberry , red cherry , spiced red plum , with dried herbs and a liquorice hint . Quite gritty tannins and fresh acidity , saline tinged finish of good length . This needs a little more time , better in 2-5 years and will show well a further 5 or so — 5 months ago
17+. Classic. V good after 3 days! Deep colour, showing little age. M+ length. — 7 months ago
Well structured and balanced, it displays an iconic ruby/garnet appearance, followed by secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruits and nuts, plus flavorsome balsamic nuances, and interesting red fruit undertones.
Overall, quite elegant and refined; medium bodied, with ample acidity, dusty tannins and a long, satisfying finish. If you’ve got it, now is the time. — 8 months ago
Superb with our Margarita Pizza. Big Cherry aromas with the slightest tawny tinge as I poured. Bold flavors with a long finish. Two bottles left! — 10 months ago
