Earthy, medium bodied, rosemary, sage, light cherry — 8 years ago
A wine of processes, not necessarily place. Multiple grapes, picked at different times, some died fruit, some late harvest picked, some skin contact. This is such an exotic wine. Tangerine, dried apricots, with a brightness that is missing in wines that are dried and then pressed. Highly drinkable. This is a fun pairing wine.... — 9 years ago

Light smoke. Red and black fruit. High acidity and brightness. Delightful. A story buyers notes: Santa Maddalena Classico is its own DOC in the heart of Bolzano. By law the wine must be 90% Schiava (aka Trollinger) and 10% Lagrein. This combination works to add a touch of richness and body to the normally bright and aromatic schiava. The vineyard is a large slope scaling from 250 meters to 500 meters, with the Lagrein grown on the lower portion of the hill. These are old vines averaging between 40-50 years old. Awesome wine with a sense of place if SudTirol — 7 years ago
This is amazing. Dry, red stone fruit, earth. I would buy all of it if I could. Merlot with Lagrein and Cabernet Sauvignon. — 7 years ago
This is one top Cab franc from Italy. Acidity is well balanced with de fruit, just anough strength to add a texture that can fit meat. Awesome wine — 8 years ago
Best thing from Bolzano hands down. God tier Pinot bianco — 8 years ago
2008, lovely mineral and acid — 9 years ago
Vintage 2016. The color is bright and ruby. The nose is red fruit and minerals. The mouth keeps the same sensation the confy increases, but well-rounded. The aftre taste is short, which is a pity. — 5 years ago
10 years on the lees! Rich, full, and just a touch honeyed with loads of hazelnut and a beautiful bead of a bubble. Don’t know the grape breakdown but this is an incredible sparkler. And from Südtirol!!! €40 from Enovit in Bolzano. — 6 years ago

Super floral / Citrus, melon, white flowers, lilac / tropical fruit notes come later / food friendly, versatile, refreshing — 7 years ago
A very cool blue fruit expression here with the inky lagrein blended with cab and merlot. I imagine the Merlot and Cab for flesh and body and touch of modernity. I was hoping for this to taste more rustic. Quite slick. Medium bodied. M+ finish. M+ acid. M tannins — 8 years ago
A lot of tannins after the years. Great wine! — 9 years ago

Wonderful with our fresh monkfish from the local fish truck. Purchased a few years ago and the age has given this great wine more depth. Really nice owners if you are in their zone. — 4 years ago
