1989 Jory Winery's "Red Zeppelin" is a gas! The label alone is worth 100 points. Neck label features "The Emperor (Bob III) has no nose" A Red Zeppelin crashing in a vineyard (a la Bonny Doon - Cigare Volant) is priceless. The back label says that "tickles and tantalizes the palate. It gurgles as it slips down the alimentary canal. It warms the cockles of the heart, and burns the sensitive lining of the stomach." The tasted like old (27 year) red wine but this is a piece of history. A treat but not quite perfect. — 9 years ago

Cool Cab Franc! Light funk and nice acidity. — 8 years ago
Love this sparkling rose! Enjoyed on the Hood Canal with Cooper, Lena, and Alice while eating raw oysters off the beach with red wine mignonette. Dry, with lingonberrry and cranberry notes, floral on the nose, apricot and strawberry. — 8 years ago
On 9/2/16 at San Raphael's in Venice next to the canal. A wonderful meal on a wonderful trip! I'm sure the wine was wonderful!! — 9 years ago
a very delicious malbec.... very long aftertaste — 7 years ago
Yeah, so this one was received about 2 days ago, and pretty much immediately consumed after a root canal. Started off only being able to taste this with one half of the tongue, but gradually I was firing on all cylinders, as was this SB! What a nice little post-root canal bottle! This wine poured a light straw color into the glass. The nose was lemongrass and lemon rind. The palate and weight of this wine was quite a bit more substantial. I would say the density is most certainly there. This is a big boy SB. Good glycerine notes throughout, but this is also one that you can enjoy on the back patio. Don't know if this would qualify as a "patio pounder" at all, but is definitely a wine that was a perfect complement after dental procedures. I have two more of these, and will probably consume them rather fast. — 7 years ago
Tasted wine aboard a Princess Cruise through the Panama Canal Christmas December 2016. Loved it paired with chocolate. They offered a special purchase on this bottle along with two others. Bought to share with a friend for New Years. We both loved it! — 9 years ago
Right raspberry perfect on a summer day at the canal — 9 years ago
Alsace Grand Cru Riesling on the canal in Helsinki on a perfectly breezy and pleasant Finnish summer evening, making friends with random strangers. Life doesn't get much better than this. No specific notes because I was too focused on enjoying the moment (which is honestly the best way to enjoy any wine anyway, all nerdiness aside), but it was a great, varietally and regionally representative example of solid Alsace Riesling. Screaming acid, razor sharp focus, super refreshing. So content and happy right now. 😊☺️😌 — 9 years ago
