it campari — 6 years ago
Tree blossom and honey on the nose. Peach skin and unripe mango through the palette moving to a complex, almost Campari like bitterness on the finish. Like three separate wines frankly. Very nice. — 7 years ago
Herbal digestif less bitter but similar to Campari — 8 years ago
Wild herbs and roses, spiced plum and pomegranate. Campari notes and musty damp furniture waft through from time to time amongst a sweet five star anise. Tart and sour berry like acidity, tannin has minimised and is barely noticeable. The only real thing lacking is the finish which ends somewhat abrupdtly. The nose and palate certainly bare enough interest but i wish that finish supported it. — 8 years ago
Apple-y and fresh with orange rind, reminiscent of Campari — 8 years ago
Dry, slightly bitter amaro/Campari in both nose and flavor. Quinine, grapefruit/citrus peel. Excellent and dry champagne that would very well compliment a rich dessert. — 7 years ago
Nice Campari alternative — 8 years ago
Sangio with a bit of Caniolo and Syrah. Feels txt book Chianti- floral, red fruits, fennel, orange rind and Campari with little noticeable oak. Savoury and medium bodied, go forth with some food in toe for maximum enjoyment — 8 years ago
Substitute this for Campari and you get a smoky honey tasting negroni! — 6 years ago
Anise, morello cherry, campari. High acid. Firm tannin. Distinctly Italian. — 6 years ago
Excellent. Red wine meets Campari. Lovely bitter herbs, balanced sweetness, and a prominent dark chocolate finish. A fantastic digestif. — 7 years ago
Elevage in cement tanks has really seen the freshness of this wine take centre stage with aromas of tart red fruits, some dried cranberry, blackcurrant pastille, some leafiness with slight orange zest and Campari like bitters coming through too. Delicious on it own but with that perfect pitched acidity and leathery tannin profile go at this with wild boar Ragu for extra pleasure 🍝 — 8 years ago

Nose is pure Campari. Slight hints of forest floor. — 5 years ago
