1997 vintage. Rich aromas of pineapple, buttercup, honey, praline/candied almonds. Well balanced and vibrant acidity. Rich and fruity with minerals and hint of smoke. Medium long finish. Very pleasant wine which still holds the typical Riesling freshness after 16 years. A good buy for anyone who wants to try an aged Riesling without spending a fortune. — 8 years ago
aromas show sweet melon, buttercup, dandelion, wood/sawdust, mandarin orange, ripe peach, stone
flavors add candied lemon and some pineapple.....a bit on the oily sweet side- but with just enough acid to give it a balance that keeps you sippin. — 9 years ago
aromas of lemon, stone, fresh hay, a little urine, candied lemon, buttercup, faint dandelion
this was so smooth! i think temperature was perfect. flavors of melon, peach, sweetbread, little ripe pear, candied lemon, faint dried herbs (tarragon?), wonderful clean finish with tiny bit of cotton candy at end. terrific expression of chardonnay.

Nose has nice minerality that's so fine it's more of a dustiness. Also pineapple candy, white peach, bell pepper and buttercup peddles. Smooth and silky body, acidity doesn't bite. Flavors of white peach, nectarine, kiwi and asparagus. Finish has slatey minerality with more white peach. Highly enjoyable and balanced. — 10 years ago
Beautiful buttercup yellow appearance. A little simply on the nose w ripe Chardonnay fruit w oak background notes. Palate w highly textured with lots of obvious solids contact and having been minimally fined/filtered prior to bottling. Really quite long cc flavour, slightly warm aftertaste but delicious nonetheless. — 10 years ago

Orin Swift Mannequin White Blend 2013. 15.5 ALC. 76% Chardonnay...the rest Grenache Blanc,Viognier, Marsanne,Muscat, Roussanne. Source from many different vineyards throughout Sonoma.
There's no way I want to guess this was 3/4 Chardonnay. I would've guessed a Rhone style white. Full-bodied white wine. I smell floral & buttercup on the nose. The palate I get honeycomb, apricot, nice acidity . Fantastic with these lobster tacos! Can't beat price point. It might be the best thing they make? — 9 years ago

This wine is the whole of nature blessed by Helios — a ray of sunshine magnified by a dewdrop, a honeycomb with the residual buzzing of laboring bees, the glow of a buttercup on a baby’s chin. Happy, bright, a spiritual salve. NH Wine Store, buy and save for a rainy day. High marks for mood enhancement. — 7 years ago
bouquet of tart yellow and green apples, some seaweed, white flowers, salinity, oyster shells, a little honey, honeysuckle, wet stone....

smells of salinity, seaweed, wood, yeast, buttercup, lemon
flavors show honey, lemon, salinity, stone, biscuit, butter, a little peach at the end. nice acidity and minerality carried within a pretty rich medium-bodied mouthfeel. — 9 years ago
2014: Pucker up, buttercup! Way too early to pronounce anything, it's practically still a barrel sample. Intense youthful fruit, immediately supported by tannins too young to be mellow. Brimming with subtle spices which raised the quandary of what the field blend ratio may be for this year? Will check in again next year. — 9 years ago
February 20, 2015 - Light golden straw color medium body well structured pugligny. This is my first folatieres and I have to say it lives up to the rep. Delicious Buttercup flowers in a perfumed nose contrasted with buttered toast, roasted almonds, pear and a hint of lemon. Long finish that reminded me of greatness. Highly recommended.
