This is actually the 2013 Prime Solum Broken Rock Vineyard Merlot.

Super small production out of the Broken Rock Vineyard in Atlas Peak, only 38 cases produced. Deep garnet red. Tied up nose with just notes of stewed black berries and cherries with cinnamon undertones. A bit earthy on the palate with dark crushed gravel layered with black cherries, dark cocoa and a touch savory. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Tons of acidity and structure. Like Andrew I got a dry broken cork. And as he mentioned, the wine age worthy yet. Crystalline purple color, pine scents. Delicious plummy cherry fruits. Tannins provide structure acidity refreshes. Long finish. Should easily keep and improve for at least 3 more years. — 11 years ago
