Very inviting nose with ripe prunes and blackberries, a touch of cassis and a hint of spices with cedar wood, pepper & cinnamon. On the palate quite sleek & cool with fine, filigrane structure. Polished tannins, juicy acidity, a sense of authenticity concreted by the tart plum fruit and earthy undertones. This is a delicious blend (Zw, Bf, Me) and excellent value for money. — 6 years ago
Easy. Smells okay. But it's not. Smooth. Dark fruit — 9 years ago
Nice fruit plum black cherry. Nice body. Very nice. Drinking with Brigitte. — 9 years ago
"Cuvée Brigette." 70% Malbec, 22% Cab Sauvignon, and 8% Syrah, one of two blends at this medium price point from Bodega Carinae. (The other is Cuvée Phillippe, with more Cab Sauv and Syrah, and less Malbec). We preferred this one and found it a great bargain at ARS 100; USD 7) — 10 years ago
Savoury nose. Quite light, but very well balanced acidity and great length. — 5 years ago
Semi-sweet with juicy notes of black cherry and a smooth dry finish — 6 years ago
Smells like strawberries, raspberries, lemons and a touch of smoke. Great acidity, minerality and mouth feel. Taste similar to nose. Super fresh and gorgeous color too. — 6 years ago
This is the "Jennifer" Grenache Rose from Rarecat. Another lovely wine from Rarecat. I am a bit partial to the 2015 Jennifer Rose, but this is terrific. Love Rarecat wines. — 8 years ago
So complex and earthy and surprising. — 9 years ago

Suggestion by our server at Lillian's kitchen in Santa Cruz. With Brigitte. — 9 years ago
Crisp, dry, tart, little tiny bubbles. Acidic that cuts through crab legs dipped in lemon butter. This is 100% Pinot noir grapes and not the blend, which I’m sure is the reason it’s not as sweet. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day dinner. — 5 years ago

Had at Mint with Brigitte. Very nice. Fruit and balance. — 9 years ago
From a time when oak use was a bit more prominent here, the nose is complex but not that Blaufränkisch - oak, spice, earth and blackberries. Palate is clean, lots of fruit, silky flow, oak creaminess but with a little more of the fresh blue and black fruit and a crack of pepper. Pretty long, too. Nicely composed. — 9 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
An 18th century chateau, overlooking the Isle valley, facing Pomerol and the Saint-Emilion limestone hillsides, belonged to the same family for three centuries took over by Michel Rullier in 1955, and his daughter Brigitte took the helm in 2002. Dark Ruby with an array of berry aromas and smoky scents. On the palate plum and cherry flavors with cacao, tobacco and smoky cedar notes with herb spice. Firm chalky tannins, long finish ending with earthy mineral notes. Still tasting ok, but drink now! — 5 years ago
