Very nice wine! Beautiful all around. Smooth to start and a nice finish. Easy going. Tastes of black berries and raisins. So so good. Paired very well with beef Wellington. — 6 years ago
This was the third of 4 reds we had for our main course last night. A Wine without a fuss from the Wine Society bought in 2015. Another dinner guest often buys this in restaurants and loves it, as do I; in fact I like most Pomerol wines Good, medium tannins, very fruity excellent with beef wellington 😁 — 8 years ago

Strong, commanding new world Chenin - slight hint of green apple and light citrus with a good bold finish — 11 years ago
Dinner at De Wijnhuis in downtown Stellenbosch. Great food and amazing wine list. Was shocked to see some older wines, very unusual in South Africa. Highly recommend.
Medium mix of ruby and garnet red. Ripe and plush nose with layers of sweet spices, black currants, cassis, plums and a touch of red earthiness. Fully integrated tannins (5.5/10) with a medium body. Good structure on the palate with some cedar, black currants, sweet tobacco and light dustiness. Great acidity with a lingering finish. Drink now. — 6 years ago
This was the last of 4 reds we had for our main course last night. A bin end from the Wine Society Dining Club won at the Xmas raffle. Certainly the best of the 4 good Full body, soft tannins, fruity great with beef wellington 😁. I decanted all 4 wines about 2.5 hours before drinking and felt it opened them all out - hope I can get more of this! I notice this app says buy at $195 and French wine is cheaper in USA than in the UK. Obvioulsy I was lucky getting this in the raffle. — 8 years ago

In the St. Tropez bay on Crystal Serenity enjoying this lovely wine with Beef Wellington. Opened the bottle last night with prime rib and saved half the bottle for tonight. Better tonight than last night by a degree. — 6 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the 2017 Verspieren-Haberer Grenache Rosé Rosalie.
Second wine for Christmas at my Uncles house in South Africa. Beautiful light salmon pink. Lots of layers on the nose with notes of watermelon, strawberries, and white flowers. High acidity (7/10) and light bodied. Zesty and crisp on the palate. Lovely roses, strawberries, melon and watermelon. Insanely long and lingering finish. Perfect for the hot summer day today, love what Thierry is doing in SA! Drink till 2021. (92+)

Love what Thierry is doing with this Rosé and with all the wines and barrels we tasted today at the Holden Manz Wine Estate with Wayne Buckley-Koch (Marketing Director) and Gerard Holden (Owner). This bottling is made up of 63% Grenache, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 9% Cinsault and 7% Cabernet Franc. The fruit comes from various areas in the Coastal Region, like Wellington and Stellenbosch for the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault as well as Franschhoek Valley for both Cabernets. Gently pressed as whole bunches before settling in the steel tanks for 12 hours and being removed from the lees. Very excited to try out the 2018 if we get a chance, it is supposed to be lighter and more elegant with less Cabernet.

I much prefer this to the Gamay. Low ABV Peppery light funky fruit punch. Pound town. These Radford Dale Thirst wines are killer. All priced about $10/bottle here in SA. I could smash a case of this. Nicole Kidman approved. — 8 years ago
Light and fruity. Well balanced. Peach after notes. Drank the 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
