Borg Brugghús

Sous Eguisons Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Chardonnay

Absolutely stunning qpr for a serious contemplative white borg. Minerality and a coche-dury-esque gunpowder note dominate the nose along with pear lemon meringue, and some hints of spice. Palate is racy and with a thick mineral spine. Great acidity and reasonable length. Actually abuts st aubin and chassagne Montrachet. Yes!!! — 7 years ago

Vieilles Vignes Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2011

Not as funky on the nose as the Borg. Softer at first with some earth that switches to a harsh finish. — 10 years ago

Clos des Mouches Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

The 2014 is powerful sinewy elegance. Red fruit, mushrooms, and more graphite than a Bjorn Borg era tennis racket. A superb Santenay. — 7 years ago

Vatnajökull Frozen in Time

An amazing micro brew from glacier water more than 700 years old. Small production and very local to the south of Iceland. Great clean, crisp taste! #LovingIceland #IcelandRoadtrip2015 — 10 years ago

Domaine Daniel Rion et Fils

Les Beaux-Monts Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1985

This ok 2 hrs to open up. Started a bit shrill and with "dead wine" undertones that cleared up. Hard to call as a Borg. Fully mature but still with terrific acidity and tannic structure. Nose of dark chocolate, figs, leather dark cherry liquor , menthol, sweet dark cherry. On the palate, burnt orange, balsamic, figs, Roasted nuts. Drying tannins on finish. Terrific, and evolved over hours — 10 years ago

Nøgne Ø (Hansa Borg)

Dark Horizon 4th Edition

Nogne O dark Horizon 4th Ed. Fucking exceptional. Dark fruit, chocolate, coffee nose. Taste exhibits a level of complexity rarely encountered in a beer. Some booze with fruit and sweet graham cracker to start, followed by extremely bitter chocolate with a chalky mouthfeel, then comes an abrupt wave of deep espresso. This all occurs over the course of 45 seconds, then the experience concludes with subtle tropical fruit and novacaine. — 10 years ago
