Icelandic red ale!! Great taste — 11 years ago
Nogne O dark Horizon 4th Ed. Fucking exceptional. Dark fruit, chocolate, coffee nose. Taste exhibits a level of complexity rarely encountered in a beer. Some booze with fruit and sweet graham cracker to start, followed by extremely bitter chocolate with a chalky mouthfeel, then comes an abrupt wave of deep espresso. This all occurs over the course of 45 seconds, then the experience concludes with subtle tropical fruit and novacaine. — 11 years ago
I've joined your delectable borg. — 14 years ago
Absolutely stunning qpr for a serious contemplative white borg. Minerality and a coche-dury-esque gunpowder note dominate the nose along with pear lemon meringue, and some hints of spice. Palate is racy and with a thick mineral spine. Great acidity and reasonable length. Actually abuts st aubin and chassagne Montrachet. Yes!!! — 8 years ago
Epic beer tasted at the brewery in Iceland — 9 years ago
This ok 2 hrs to open up. Started a bit shrill and with "dead wine" undertones that cleared up. Hard to call as a Borg. Fully mature but still with terrific acidity and tannic structure. Nose of dark chocolate, figs, leather dark cherry liquor , menthol, sweet dark cherry. On the palate, burnt orange, balsamic, figs, Roasted nuts. Drying tannins on finish. Terrific, and evolved over hours — 11 years ago
Not as funky on the nose as the Borg. Softer at first with some earth that switches to a harsh finish. — 11 years ago
Finally in France, at home... Château Grand-Maison cuvée Spéciale 2008 côtes de Borg - so lovely wine, very elegant! I love it! — 13 years ago
Surprise! Still haven’t opened it so rating it is a “hope”…think I may have opened a bottle previously…was too soon but hints of greatness linger. These need 10 yrs+ but I think it’s time...2010 Brunello by a famed better winery…bought in Cortona, Italy, next door town to the Montalcino-Montepuciano twin towns of great Italian wine. Resisting the temptation is like resisting “The Borg”. (A Star Trek reference…where are you Capt’n Kirk?) — 5 years ago
The 2014 is powerful sinewy elegance. Red fruit, mushrooms, and more graphite than a Bjorn Borg era tennis racket. A superb Santenay. — 8 years ago
This blew my mind. I want more and to drink it more often. — 10 years ago
An amazing micro brew from glacier water more than 700 years old. Small production and very local to the south of Iceland. Great clean, crisp taste! #LovingIceland #IcelandRoadtrip2015 — 11 years ago
