Unlike anything I have ever tried, would never guess CdP but it indeed was and carried itself like a 10 year old, not a 24 year old wine. Made by the #legendary Henri Bonneau, arguably the most revered CdP producer/farmer after Rayas. A deep purple red color hinted that this was going to be interesting and not an old barny wine. The nose showed more mature notes but did not so much dominate over the youthful aspects. The nose showed aromas of dried and crushed berry fruits, earth, leather, and subtle spice notes. The palate took it up a few notches in intensity with youthful vibrancy, layers upon layers of flavor, full bodied, silky and ripe tannins, and a long and lingering finish. #chateauneuf #1990 #henribonneau — 11 years ago

Staged a Chardonnay tasting for daughter with price and region being topics. Class act of the group. Blew '98 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne out of the water (at 1/3 the price). Light on its feet but packed with flavor. Very Burgundian. Kudos to Ric. — 12 years ago
