2002 Domaine Dujac Charmes Chambertin burgundy. Drank w K during date night at The Grill. Decanted for a while and glad we did. Drank perfectly and well, despite being such a young wine. Beautiful dark fruit, some vanilla and oak, but balanced. Beautifully complex with layers of mineral and earth notes. Such a treat! — 8 years ago

A ton of oak as expected! Very young! Vanilla liqueur soaked plums, cedar, nutmeg. Med-heavy mouthfeel with a grill full of fruit tannins. Spain makes you cry uncle, and then breaks out the wooden paddle to whip your ass! How much wood can this Mofo chuck?!! Bring your best Paul Bunyan, and his big blue ox! Two paths converged in a wood...really puts a bit of stick about!! The wood references should go on ad infinitum here. Needs time, and a further update! Nice vanilla note throughout, black cherry, and a dry earthy slope taking shape and deconstructing under the weight of the oaken yoke! #spanishwine #HaciendaMonesteria — 9 years ago
