Oakey and smooth! We really loved it! — 6 months ago
Well, here’s to still having power. I don’t want to jinx us but it seems like every time we have a hurricane we lose power! I’m stocked up and ready. I’m in central Florida, in between Gainesville and Orlando. Please pray for those who will get hit the hardest tonight! 🙏🏻 I’ve spent the past few days in our Emergency Operations Center and it’s not supposed to be good especially since the coast hasn’t cleaned up from Helene. — 7 months ago
Excellent with salmon. I like it better than most Malbecs. — 3 years ago
Smells like wet leaves (earthy), tastes like tart, cherry candy. — 4 years ago
Half price bottle night and a great selection from the sommelier. Not a full dark berry bouquet in the nose and struggling to place everything. Mouthfeel is soft but not velvety. Tannins are medium and finish is long. So far a great bottle! — 3 months ago
Nice smooth lighter red. Would buy again. — 7 months ago
Juan Gil Jiménez first built his winery in 1916 in Jumilla, and passed it down to his future generations. From 100% Certified Organic Monastrell (or Mourvèdre in France), in chalky, stony soils, aromas of dark berry fruits and woody spice. Aged 12 months in French oak, palate shows blackberry and plum with smoky wood flavors and notes of cacao and cinnamon spice. Soft ripe tannins, medium+ ending with a light toasty earthy character. Great value! Very nice! — 9 months ago

Very different on the nose than the lips. Bouquet was almost floral while the taste was quite spicy. Turning out to be a favorite region for sure — 4 years ago
Very solid. Pairs with lamb / fatty dishes. Fruity and spicy. — 5 years ago
Spicy red fruit, mostly cherry. Still quite a few tannins for a 10 year old. — 4 months ago
Not your standard jammy Monastrell: deep wafting (mostly) dark fruited aromas, licorice & minerals, just oozing - peppery notes as well. Broad smooth on palate (med + weight) not much acidity, rugged tannins leading to modest finish. Great QPR @ Costco — 5 months ago
Really enjoying this tasty, dry sipper. I haven't had many Riojas but this is the first one I actually like. Good stuff! — a year ago
