100% Pedro Ximenez
Medium straw yellow.
Beautiful unique bouquet of roasted almond, sour dough, and cashew nut. Surprisingly fruity, citrus note (more lemon/lime than tangerine).
On the palate, this is a refreshing wine. Briny, zesty, and herbal.
It goes so well with all kinds of food. Real underrated food wine. Most importantly, I popped this bottle about 7 months ago and I am still drinking it today. Amazingly long lasting. 90. — 7 years ago

More complex and interesting. Not pruny like others from Ximenez — 8 years ago
Vino que me dejó totalmente descolocado, una gran nariz y en boca totalmente lo contrario a lo esperado... Me gustó mucho 😜😜😜 #px #coalla #gijonenvino — 9 years ago

Phenomenal Pedro Ximenez — 7 years ago
100% Pedro Ximenez
Beautiful med amber gold
The nose shows a nutty, slightly raisiny character. Enticing elegance.
On the palate - full body, dry, medium high acidity. Salinity, citrus, green olive, tangy almost pickled vegetable taste, roasted chestnut, slight heat detected on the backend.
I love Montilla wines. Honest, pure, and most importantly last forever in the fridge even after you open the bottle. 90. — 7 years ago
Very interesting wine. Sherry nose from wines cured in barrel in caves refreshed with natural ocean air. — 7 years ago

Tres mil ampolles per un brandy sublim. De fi paladar, subtil dolçor i ampli paladar. Molt bona recomanació d'En Tomàs de Can Rosendo!! A Mataró — 9 years ago
Apelsinigt bitter och samtligt saftigt lättslunket. Lite trä/vanilj. — 6 years ago
Pretty, fresh, mouth-watering aperitif and food-friendly wine from one of the top producers in Montilla-Moriles. Alvear offers several different versions of Pedro Ximenez covering the full spectrum of styles- this one is decidedly austere, light and saline. Limestone and silica found in the unique chalk soils make these wines very vibrant and aromatic, providing great lift. 100 % PX from a single harvest, these are typically bottled after two years in neutral American oak casks and are not fortified (15% ABV). This is showing a very briny mouthfeel and savory flavors ranging from sea salt to green olives to fresh almonds. Not displaying a lot of primary fruit alongside the salinity- subtle apple, pear and other white fruit aromas. The freshness is very appealing, making for a great aperitif and we found it paired wonderfully with seafood tapas and salad. This is not traditional Sherry by any means (technically it is a Sherry-like beverage), but it's a superb value and serves its purpose quite well. — 6 years ago
Off dry sherry and sweet finish. Palo cortado blend with Pedro ximenez grapes. — 8 years ago
Full and rich! Chocolate Nougat... Love it!! — 9 years ago
Ruikt naar karamel, iets gebrand. Stroperig met dadels, gedroogde pruimen en natuurlijk rozijnen. Warm en vluchtige zuren op de afdronk! Erg lekkere PX! — 9 years ago

Wanted something unique and got it. Gold color with orange elements. Nose contains melon and slight hints of nail polish, and could even be mistaken for a red. Wine is crisp and clean but lacks depth. — 5 years ago
