Stupidly smooth. Lighter on the smoke than I would personally like but it makes for a delightful introduction to mezcal. A versatile cocktail mezcal too — 9 years ago

A holiday wine need not break the bank. A good, inexpensive Pinot Noir is hard to find, so why not go garnacha/grenache? This 7 Navas Joven from the Alto Aberche Valley in Spain is under $15 and packs a lot of punch with its combination of cranberry and raspberry fruitiness, herbs, cinnamon, and spice. It's everything nice. I paired this with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing. Don't underestimate garnacha. (sample) — 10 years ago
